My Thoughts:

This magical tube of wonder came into my life via my Boxycharm subscription and I was so stoked that it came as a full-size. I love getting full-size goodies from my subscription boxes and this product is one that I’ll keep in my collection from here on out. The company changed the packaging recently, but it still comes in a clear tube which is a huge plus. The scent is pleasant with a light sweetness to it and it dissipates quickly for those who aren’t fans of the smell.

I LOOOOOOOVE when lipsticks come in tubes! It is my favorite form of packaging for lip products because the regular stick packaging usually breaks at some point under pressure. The wand is soft and applies the cream easily and effortlessly and the clear packaging is so helpful at showing me when it comes time to reorder. Even though it’s made of plastic and feels cheap when you tap on the packaging, it is actually really sturdy. I have yet to have an accident where the handle twists off in my bag and winds up all over the inside of my bag.

Right behind Tarte’s & alongside Too Faced liquid lipsticks lies this liquid lipstick. It is so creamy and gentle on my lips and doesn’t dry them out like some other matte formulas are known to do. The formula dries quickly, but not so quickly that I feel pressured to apply within a few seconds. I’m one of those people who like to do things mindfully and take my time, and this formula gives me the ability to do that. As well as drying quickly, the formula also doesn’t smudge unless you use quite a bit of pressure, but it does transfer, so you’ll see it on your cups and you’ll need to bring it with you and touch-up throughout the day. I’m pretty chatty, but I only needed to touch-up my lips twice at most during the day, so that’s quite impressive to me.

When it comes to removal, it comes off easily, regardless if I use my favorite Neutrogena makeup wipes, Makeup Eraser cloth, or Clinique Cleansing Oil. Even with its dark, rich pigment, the color doesn’t stain the skin. There is no bleeding, so you don’t have the extra cost of needing a lip liner, either. You will notice a bit of oxidizing after you apply it, so keep in mind that it’ll end up wearing a few shades darker than it looks through the tube. On the upside, the color compliments every skin tone.

It glides on like a dream, whether I use the wand included or scrape it onto a metal palette and use a brush to apply it on clients. Luckily, it doesn’t matter if you have dry or oily skin, because the wizardry in this formula still has it dry evenly on my lips. So, no worries about it breaking up from oil or it drying in patches from dry or cracked lips.

This particular color is actually dual-purpose if you find yourself in a pinch. Simply put a few swipes on either the back of your hand or a metal palette, let it dry, and then using a brush for your brows or contour as a bronzer, and blend.

For those who are used to purchasing drugstore products, this price may seem a bit much, but in comparison to other luxury brands, the price is on par. For the quality to quantity ratio, the price seems fair and I will definitely be getting all the colors.
