Once or twice a year, Tarte will have their famous “Custom Kit Sale” and, honestly, it’s a steal. They market it as “a full face of makeup for $63.” Breaking it down, you get a few options in each “category,” with a total of 7 categories, which if you work it correctly, can actually give you a product for each step in a makeup look.
I did not keep track of all the options in every category, so this post is only going to be about the products I selected for my kit. Last round they did this sale, I was a lot more impressed with the options. This time, I was underwhelmed, but still took advantage of getting eyeshadows, lippies, foundation, etc. at a significant discount.
Here’s what I picked out for my kit:
Amazonian clay full coverage foundation SPF 15 : 8B porcelain beige (very fair skin with pink undertones) (Retail: $39)
Rainforest of the Sea ™ radiance drops (Retail: $32)
Rainforest of the Sea™ highlighting fan brush (Retail: $30)
glitter half moon bag (Retail: $15)
I wanted to stick to just using Tarte products that way no one could dispute an issue I had with a product not working because I paired it with a product that wasn’t formulated within the same brand. Below is a breakdown of all the products used, and I will place an asterisk (*) next to all the products that were in the kit.
Urban Decay – Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original)
