My Thoughts:

I got this little gem in a Sephora Favorites kit, but little did I know, the company was discontinuing production. I like the overall benefits of this, I only with they would repackage it, but that isn’t even an option now that they’re no longer sold. My main issue with this was that I can barely use any pressure when applying it or it’ll smush down into the base or break off. Too much product has been wasted with me trying to put this cream stick back together by re-attaching it and melting it so it could be whole again.

Performance/Wear:                          ★/5

This lipstick has a pretty summer-time pink with a semi-sheer, shiny finish. I prefer my lipsticks to have a shine finish over a matte one because most of the time, matte lipsticks do more damage to my lips than they’re aesthetically worth. It does transfer, but it doesn’t dry out my lips or feather off. When it fades, it’s gradual leaving more time to reapply when I’m busy and can’t get to it right then. Unfortunately, it does bleed, which is a bit annoying because it’s just another product I have to carry with me throughout the day. That alone is usually a cause for a deal-breaker because most other lipsticks make the need for a lip liner obsolete. It does feel incredibly moisturizing on my lips and it’s a bit weighty on my lips so I can feel when it is time to reapply. This may be moisturizing, but it isn’t one of those that are so intensely moisturizing that it leaves my lips soft for hours after. Almost immediately after this is off my lips, I start to feel my lips gets tight and start to get chapped, so I always bring a tinted lip balm if I’m too busy to reapply product to hold me over. The color doesn’t stain and is easy to remove at the end of the day, saving time in my skincare regimen. There is no tugging on my skin when applying this due to its creamy consistency, but because it falls apart, I prefer to use a lip brush and apply it that way, instead.

Packaging:                                          ★/5

The packaging isn’t the worst, but it isn’t the best. It’ll hold up in my purse, considering I have yet to have a messy incident where it ends up all over the inside of my bag, but the product itself falls apart with too much pressure. That may sound obvious, but this has a whole other degree of pressure tolerance than most, because even with the slightest pressure, it starts to falter. The outside of the packaging looks pretty cool and the small size makes it great for travel.

Pros:

  • Rich, creamy consistency
  • Very moisturizing
  • Stays closed in my bag
  • Pigmented
  • Travel-friendly due to its small size

Cons:

  • Falls apart with the slightest amount of pressure

Texture:                                  Cream

Scent:                                      None

Size:                                         0.04 oz.

I’d love to hear about your experience with this in the comments!! 😊
