Online Description:

What it is:
The ultimate finishing touch just got an extra dose of sun protection—for even more beautiful benefits.

What it does:
Mineral Veil’s sheer formula infuses skin with softness and light, resulting in airbrushed perfection. It helps eliminate unwanted shine and minimize fine lines and pores, while keeping your complexion fresh all day.

COLOR: SPF 25 Mineral Veil – completely sheer, Radiant finish

My Thoughts:

I wouldn’t say this is has a “Radiant finish”, but it is sheer for the most part. The scent is very unpleasant and is like a concoction of chemicals. This came in a set from the company along with a few loose eyeshadows, and an adorable makeup bag, but the products became such a nuisance to use, I ended up giving away or tossing out a bunch of stuff. My main reason for keeping the powders was mostly out of curiosity of experimentation. I figured since there wasn’t much product in this, I could play around with the different foundation formulas I have and those I will acquire since new formulas are made all the time, and test out which ones are compatible with this powder. So far, the only product that works seamlessly with this powder is the foundation powder also by this brand. Luckily, I have yet to have any kind of reaction from using this on my dry, sensitive skin so that’s always a plus.

Performance/Wear:                          ★/5

When I use this with bareMinerals powder foundation (the original one, not their new products), this works just fine. It works well with the loose powder formula by this company for a light, natural look, but when using this with other formulas by other companies, count this one out for reliability. You’ll only waste product and time because you’ll have to remove your makeup and start over. The texture feels a bit grainier than I expected or would like my face powders to be, but I bought this in a set from Sephora, not having tried out the product before so I didn’t really know where to gage the bar in the first place. Compared to other powders on the market that advertise the same purpose, this one comes in pretty close to last place. This product didn’t impress me by any means and it looks awful when used with other formulas. It becomes blotchy throughout the day and I look ashy if I use too much product at once even after I tried blending it out.

Price:                                                   0/5

Nope. Not impressed. This is DEFINITELY not worth the price tag on it.

Packaging:                                          ★/5

I will admit I love that this came packaged in a jar, which is my preference. However, I also have to acknowledge that the packaging is not reliable by any means. The twist edges feel like nails on a chalkboard when I open or close the lid on it, and I’ve lost quite a bit of product from this opening up in bags.

Ingredients:

Titanium Dioxide 14.4%.

Cons:

  • Doesn’t work with many foundation formulas
  • Doesn’t blend well
  • Feels like rubbing dirt on my face
  • Too much product comes out with each tap
  • Unreliable packaging
