My Thoughts:

This has a light pink color to it and not an overwhelming amount of shimmer to it, surprisingly. I kind of expected it to look like liquid mercury does like every other liquid illuminating product on the market. That alone gets points from me because people are taking the shimmer a little too far. I don’t like the tin man look, but then again, who cares what people wear as long as they’re not hurting anyone and it makes them feel confident. It has a light, fresh, and perfumed scent to it that I really enjoy. I received this in a Glossybox as a half-size product and it surprisingly is plenty of product despite its small size. To say the least, I was excited to see this in a monthly box and I always favored getting makeup products above others from them.

Performance/Wear:                          ★/5

With this, you get a slight shimmer through light-medium coverage foundations, but you can’t see any shimmer with a full-coverage foundation, which defeats the main purpose of this primer. Application is quick, easy, and gentle on the skin due to its thin, serum-like consistency. The product adheres to the skin well, creating an even and slightly shimmery canvas. This not only works well with various foundation formulas, but it also doesn’t cause any adverse effects to my sensitive skin. Can I get an “amen!”?! You’d be surprised how many products cause a reaction in some way, and usually not on the first try. I love that it actually feels healthy for my skin. With most makeup products, it all seems to feel like stuff just sits atop my skin, but not this primer. Another good feat due to the consistency is the amount necessary for each application, or should I say “the lack of amount?” I don’t need much product to properly prime my skin, and it doesn’t seem to make a difference if I use more than necessary to try and obtain more shimmer. My foundation stays in tact all day and maintains a slight shimmer from the right angle by light. This holds up well not only with different foundation formulas, but different skin types as well, without faltering. From dry (sensitive) to oily, this primer consistently holds up and proves its worth time and again. My favorite way to wear this is under some CC cream for a more natural look and a subtle glow.

Price:                                                   ★/5

If you initially look at the price for how much you get, yes, it is a bit disheartening. After having tried it first so I could get a thorough experience of whether or not I’d like it, I’d suggest the purchase of this. This may only be half of the product that a full-size contains, but I still have plenty of product left even after many applications already used. I truly believe the quality of product along with how long the amount of product in each tube lasts that this is a good product to invest in.

Packaging:                                          ★/5

As always, I despise squeeze-tube packaging because it causes more pain for those of us with hand and wrist issues. This product is no different, despite my love for its other benefits. I will show due admiration for the texture of the tube itself and the simple, yet elegant packaging. The outside of the tube feels very soft and velvety making it feel that much more of a luxury product.
